Sunflower Pâté

 

1 cup soaked sunflower seeds
8-10 sundried tomatoes
1⁄2 tbsp oil-soaked chopped garlic
Small bunch of basil

Mix all the ingredients together with a hand blender or food processor.
I really like this simple recipe in the summertime, spread on lettuce leaves or flax crackers. I always soak garlic for at least a few hours in oil before I use it, as otherwise I find it irritates my stomach.

 

Nori Rolls with Pate Filling

 

3C.     Sunflower Seeds (soaked 8 to 12 hours)
1C      Lemon Juice
½ C.   Scallions, chopped
¼ to ½ C.       Tahini, raw
3 to 4 T.          Nama Shoyu
2 to 4 slices   Red Onion, Diced
4 to 6 T.          Parsley, Chopped
2 to 3              Garlic cloves
½ tsp.             Cayenne Pepper

    • Combine sunflower seeds, lemon juice, scallions, Tahini, Nama Shoyu, Onion, Parsley, Garlic and cayenne pepper in food processor, and bland until smooth.
    • Assemble rolls as close to serving time as possible. They tend to get soggy.
   Energy Soup

 

In a Blender

1 Apple ( peeled and cored)
½ c.   Sprouted Lentils and Mung beans, combined (to make sprouts, soak beans for 24 hours, drain, turn jar on side and let sprout about 24 hrs. you will see little tails on the beans when done)

1 Avocado

1T  Dulse or Kelp (powdered), or 1 tsp. Granulated (this is seaweed grass)
8oZ   Water
Blend until Liq.
1 lg   Handful Spinach or spring mix

Blend until Liq. And enjoy.

You can add a little celery, clilantro or watercress if you like.
